Very rarely can a company operate without complete reliance on the network to support communications, applications and daily business processes. As a result, the demand for network performance management solutions remains strong. Those companies able to innovate to stay ahead of the demand curve will claim dominance in this space.

To that end, SevOne recently announced the release of its SevOne Performance Appliance Solution (SevOne PAS) v5. This latest release will provide the necessary foundation for advanced reporting capabilities and analytics to ensure SevOne PAS delivers on client expectations with network performance management.

“The network and infrastructure performance sector is experiencing tremendous demand and growth, driven by the increasing criticality of high-performing application and service delivery infrastructures,” said Jim Frey, Managing Research Director at Enterprise Management Associates, in a statement.

“With this new release, SevOne is building on existing successes in deploying massively scalable, integrated performance management to move the solution into a primary operations monitoring role as a performance manager of managers,” Frey added.

SevOne announced the new network performance management solution this week at Cisco (News - Alert) Live in London. A key talking point is the solution’s ability to drive complete and immediate visibility with analytics, collection, ease-of-use, reporting, and high precision metric support. All SevOne customers will gain access to VM Monitoring enhancements, Cisco Medianet and VoIP monitoring.

This latest release in the company’s network performance management portfolio builds on what the company positions as the industry’s fastest reporting at scale, offering new intuitive wizards and built in practices for reporting viewing and sharing. SevOne users gain new capabilities to reduce the amount of time necessary to create, share and gain visibility into the performance of key services and technologies.

Reporting is a critical element within network performance management and this latest release focuses on new unified reporting, high precision metric support, new visualizations, group aggregations, enhanced analytics, OOB and pre-defined domain knowledge-based templates to support reporting efforts and requirements.

New product innovations and network performance management and monitoring solutions are available specifically for those in the telecommunications, cable operator, large enterprise and managed service provider space. Support is extended for 20114G LTE, IMS, Ethernet backhaul, IP telephony, Unified Communications (News - Alert) monitoring and VM monitoring.

“Our newest release of SevOne increases our competitive advantage by providing real and immediate business value to customers. The new reporting capabilities in SevOne v5 enable our customers to create new visualizations and dashboards with minimal effort,” shared Michael Phelan, CEO of SevOne.

“And as we expand our footprint in the financial services and telecommunications market, customers with low latency monitoring requirements will get the granularity required via High Precision Metrics to analyze, alert and report on sub-second metrics, ensuring the best execution and customer experience.”
